Building a Representative Public Sector
The Moynihan Center is committed to developing civic leaders who reflect the communities they serve. Our Fellows embody the extraordinary diversity of City College—80% people of color, 50% immigrant, and predominantly first-generation college students—creating a vital pipeline that connects our city’s diverse talent to leadership positions in public service.

Representing the 5 Boroughs & Beyond
Fellows bring perspectives from across New York City’s diverse neighborhoods, creating a mosaic of experiences that enriches our understanding of urban challenges and opportunities. This geographic diversity strengthens Fellows’ capacity to develop policy solutions that will make an impact in New York City and beyond.Â

Cultivating Tomorrow’s Civic Leaders
The Moynihan Public Service Fellowship prepares promising students for impactful careers in government and public service through a comprehensive two-year program. Fellows engage in a distinctive curriculum combining rigorous academic study with practical professional development, while participating in fully-funded internships with leading public service organizations. From our seminar rooms to City Hall, Fellows develop the skills and competencies needed to strengthen democratic institutions and elevate public discourse.

A simple openness to alternative definitions of a problem and a willingness to concede the possibility of events taking a variety of courses. This ought to be the preeminent mode of liberalism.
