On Monday September 23, we were honored to welcome four members of the European Parliament (MEPs) to the Moynihan Center. Barry Andrews, Lukas Mandl, Ignazio Marino, and Ruth Firmenich were EU delegates at this year’s United Nations Summit of the Future, which convened world leaders to adopt a Pact for the Future covering a broad range of themes including peace and security, sustainable development, climate change, digital cooperation, human rights, gender, youth and future generations, and the transformation of global governance.

On the heels of the Summit for the Future, the MEPs came to City College to speak with a closed audience of Moynihan Public Service Fellows and Master's students from the European Institute at Columbia University. It was a fantastic conversation about the future of multilateralism and it showcased the kind of cross-partisan exchange that the Moynihan Center aims to foster.
