How to Help the Mentally Ill: Stephen Eide in conversation with Brian Stettin

To kick off the spring semester, Moynihan Public Scholar Stephen Eide sat down for a fireside chat with Brian Stettin, Senior Advisor for Severe Mental Illness to New York Mayor Eric Adams.
Joined by the Moynihan Undergraduate Fellows and CCNY students, they explored Stettin’s career journey, which began as a student at City College (class of ’91) and has evolved into a prominent role within the Mayor's office. The discussion also explored public policy concerning individuals with severe mental illness, placing particular emphasis on the critical issue of compulsory treatment.
