Last month, the Moynihan Public Service Fellows had the privilege of meeting U.S. Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor at the Robert A. Katzmann Justice For All Learning Center, located in the Thurgood Marshall Courthouse.
Justice Sotomayor engaged in a Q&A session with students, sharing insights into her decision to pursue a career in law, detailing a typical day in the life of a Supreme Court Justice, and discussing her connection and memories with Senator Moynihan. She also reflected on her upbringing in the Bronx and the remarkable journey that led her to the nation's highest court.
After the event, Justice Sotomayor joined students for conversation over lunch.
A special thank you to The Leon Levy Foundation, Justice Sotomayor, United States Circuit Judge Joseph F. Bianco, Betsy Seidman, and the Robert A. Katzmann Justice For All Learning Center staff for giving our students this incredible opportunity.
