Panel | Political Messaging and the 2024 Election

Engaging Panel Discussion Explored Political Messaging in Anticipation of 2024 Election

On March 13th, Christina Greer, Moynihan Public Scholar and Professor of Political Science at Fordham University, led a panel discussion on “Political Messaging and the 2024 Election.” Joining Greer were panelists Laurence Pevsner, also a Moynihan Public Scholar and former director of speechwriting for US Ambassador to the UN Linda Thomas-Greenfield, and esteemed guest Walter Shapiro, a former speechwriter for President Jimmy Carter also renowned for his extensive experience covering presidential campaigns.

Each panelist provided valuable insights informed by decades of experience, shedding light on the challenge of communicating political messages to increasingly diverse and polarized audiences. Attendees, including Moynihan Undergraduate Fellows, were highly engaged and contributed thoughtfully to the conversation.

We extend our thanks to Christina Greer, Laurence Pevsner, Walter Shapiro for their invaluable contributions to a successful event!
