To celebrate the start of the fall semester, students in the Moynihan Public Service Fellowship gathered after classes for a welcome reception. Thirty students from both cohorts attended, along with members of The City College of New York (CCNY) faculty and Moynihan Center staff.Â
Prior to the reception, the first-year cohort gathered for a screening of the documentary Moynihan. The screening offered students an opportunity to place the fellowship in broader context by learning about the life and legacy of the Center’s namesake, Daniel Patrick Moynihan.
As the reception began, Moynihan Center Executive Director Carlo Invernizzi Accetti welcomed the fellows back to campus and introduced staff from the Master of Public Administration (MPA) program, now housed within the Moynihan Center. Students also had the opportunity to meet MPA Program Director Caroline Enjalbert.Â
More than a start-of-semester gathering, the reception gave fellows a chance to strengthen relationships across cohorts, connect with faculty and partners, and meet new members of the Moynihan Center community. Â Over a shared meal, students began the semester with new connections and a renewed sense of what lies ahead.
