New York City Leaders

The New York City Leaders track prepares a diverse group of talented and motivated CCNY undergraduates for future leadership roles in New York City public service. Fellows take an intensive academic curriculum grounded in the liberal arts and the practical application of public service. New York City Leaders gain hands-on professional experience through fully-funded summer internships within one of the city’s administrative bodies or a relevant non-governmental organization devoted to public service at the city level.

Public Service Innovators

Reflecting Senator Moynihan’s own uncommon career trajectory, the Public Service Innovators track encourages promising CCNY undergraduates to reimagine the contours of a career in public service. Fellows participate in a rigorous year-long curriculum devoted to professional development and the philosophy of public service. Public Service Innovators receive individualized guidance to pursue careers in a variety of institutions that serve the public interest—from government auxiliaries to public service media to non-profits.

A simple openness to alternative definitions of a problem and a willingness to concede the possibility of events taking a variety of courses. This ought to be the preeminent mode of liberalism.
